THE ELYA
FOUNDATION
Each living soul deserves to be loved and treated with fairness and respect.
The ELYA Foundation was created based on this principle. We try to offer the communities with whatever we can possibly provide, and hope to make whoever in need, a brighter day.

The Story of THE ELYA FOUNDATION
The name ELYA was inspired by our founder’s two beloved dogs, Ella and her son Toya, whose names came together to form ELYA.
Our founder is a dedicated and hardworking businessman, living a life filled with constant deadlines, responsibilities, and the unrelenting pace of Hong Kong’s fast-moving society. During his demanding work routine, his most comforting moments came not from material success, but from the simple joy of being with Ella and Toya. From these deeply personal moments, ELYA was born—not just as a name, but as a symbol of the universal need for balance, love, and healing. ELYA represents more than two cherished companions—it represents a vision for people in society, especially those silently carrying the heavy weight of responsibility.
To the founder, Ella and Toya were not only pets. They were teachers of presence, resilience, and emotional connection. They taught him that even in the busiest and most stressful lives, there can still be space for joy, relief, and wellness. In this spirit, ELYA was established as an NGO with a mission to support society’s middle-aged generation in Hong Kong, a group that, much like the founder, often shoulders immense pressures—caring for their growing children, supporting aging parents, and managing demanding careers. Too often, this generation gives to everyone else but neglects themselves.
